General Questions

What Is An Escape Room?

An escape room is a real-life team adventure where you explore a themed environment, search for clues, solve puzzles and work together to complete a mission before time runs out.

You don’t need any special knowledge or skills to play — just teamwork, curiosity and a willingness to get stuck in!

Each of our three games has its own story, setting and challenges, so no two adventures are quite the same.

Will We Be Playing With Strangers?

No. All of our escape rooms are private experiences, so you’ll only ever play with the people you booked with.

Once you book a game, that session is reserved exclusively for your team — we never add other players to your group.

Am I Really Going To Be Locked In?

Yes and no. The exit door will be closed as part of the experience, but you are never trapped inside the room.

Our exit doors use electromagnetic locking systems rather than being locked with a key. Every game is equipped with an emergency exit button which immediately releases the door, so you can leave the room at any time if you need to.

Your Game Master will also be monitoring your team throughout your adventure.. You will be in a room with a closed exit door, but every door is equipped with an electromagnetic lock system and an emergency exit button. Should you feel the need to exit the room, you are free to do so at any time.

How Many People Can Play In 1 Team?

The Magic Market and Tropical Trouble are designed for teams of 2–5 players, while Project Atlantis can accommodate 2–6 players.

Our maximum team sizes are strict and we cannot add extra players — even just one! These limits are based on the space available inside each game and are there for both safety and the quality of your experience.

If your group is larger than the maximum team size, please contact us. Depending on availability, we may be able to arrange for your group to split across two games.

How Long Does The Game Last?

The Magic Market and Tropical Trouble give you up to 60 minutes to complete your mission, while Project Atlantis gives you up to 70 minutes.

Please arrive at your booked time. We’ll get you ready for your adventure before the clock starts, and there will be time for a team photo afterwards.

Are The Games Scary?

No. None of our escape rooms are horror games and there are no live actors or jump scares.

Our games are designed around adventure, mystery and puzzle solving. Some areas may have lower lighting or a more atmospheric feel, but you won’t find anything designed to frighten you.

What Languages Can We Play In?

All three of our escape rooms can be played in either English or Spanish.

You’ll choose your preferred game language when you book, and your Game Master will run your experience in that language.

Children & Families

Is There A Minimum Age Limit?

Players under 18 must be accompanied by at least one participating adult.

Our escape rooms are recommended for ages 10+.

Children aged 6–9 are welcome to take part as part of a family group, but please bear in mind that our games are designed primarily for adults and older children. Younger players will need significant help and supervision from the adults in their team.

If your group includes more than one child under 10, we strongly recommend having at least one adult for each younger child. Teams made up predominantly of children under 10 may find the games difficult to complete and may not get the best experience from their visit.

Children aged 5 and under cannot participate in the games. However, babies who are too young to take part may accompany their family if they remain secured in a baby sling or carrier throughout the game. Pushchairs can be accommodated in Project Atlantis only. Due to space restrictions, babies accompanying teams in The Magic Market or Tropical Trouble must be carried in a sling or carrier.

of children aged 5 and under is prohibited for safety reasons. Exceptions can be made only for infants contained in a stroller or carried in a sling. Please note that strollers are not permitted inside The Magic Market & Tropical Trouble due to space restrictions.

Which Game Would You Recommend For Families With Children?

The Magic Market is our top recommendation for families, particularly those with younger children or playing an escape room for the first time. It’s a magical, hands-on adventure with plenty of visual puzzles and opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Tropical Trouble is a great choice for families with older children and teenagers who enjoy detective work. There is more reading and evidence to analyse, so players need to be comfortable reading in either English or Spanish.

Project Atlantis is our most difficult game and is designed for experienced escape room teams. It contains a large number of puzzles and challenges to complete within the time limit, so we strongly recommend choosing one of our other adventures for families with younger children or who are new to escape rooms.

Booking, Pricing & Cancellations

How Do I Book A Game?

The easiest way to book is online through our booking page, where you can see live availability for all three of our escape rooms.

If you need help with your booking, you can also contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email and we’ll be happy to help.

What If I Need To Change/Cancel My Booking?

All bookings are non-refundable, so if you cancel your game or don’t attend your booking, any payments already made will be lost.

If you need to change the date or time of your booking, please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled game and we’ll be happy to move your booking, subject to availability.

Changes requested with less than 48 hours’ notice may be accommodated on a case by case basis.

How Much Does A Game Cost?

Our prices are based on the number of players in your team:

2 players – €60
3 players – €75
4 players – €90
5 players – €105
6 players – €120 (Project Atlantis only)

The price shown is for the whole team, not per person.

When Should We Arrive?

Please arrive at your booked game time. There’s no need to arrive early — if you do, we recommend no more than 5 minutes before your booking.

This gives us time to welcome your team and get you ready for your adventure before your game begins.

What Happens If We Arrive Late?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you think you’re going to be late.

Our games run to a fixed schedule, so unfortunately we can’t extend your session beyond its scheduled finish time. Arriving more late may mean that your available playing time has to be reduced.

If you arrive significantly late, more than 15 minutes, will result in the cancellation of your game without refund.

How Can We Pay?

When booking online, you can choose to either pay for your game in full by card or pay a deposit to secure your booking.

If you choose to pay a deposit, the remaining balance must be paid in cash when you arrive for your game.

We do not currently accept card payments at the venue.

Do You Sell Gift Vouchers?

Yes! Island Quest gift vouchers make a great present for anyone who loves puzzles, adventures or trying something new.

Our gift vouchers can be purchased online and used towards any of our three escape room games.

Visit our Gift Vouchers page to choose and purchase your voucher.

Getting Here

Where Can We Find You?

You’ll find us on the second floor of Centro Comercial El Pueblo in Las Coloradas, Playa Blanca.

Once inside the shopping centre, head upstairs and you’ll find Island Quest overlooking the central plaza.

We’re also easily reached from elsewhere in Playa Blanca using the local number 30 bus, with a stop close to the shopping centre.

Click here to find us on Google Maps.

Is There Parking Available?

Yes. Free parking is available around Centro Comercial El Pueblo and in the surrounding area.

Please allow a little extra time to find a space during busy periods.

Accessibility

Are Your Games Wheelchair Accessible?

Island Quest itself has step-free access. There is a ramp from the upper car park, as well as a lift from the underground car park and lower levels of Centro Comercial El Pueblo.

If a member of your team uses a wheelchair, we recommend Project Atlantis. It has a large main area, allowing wheelchair users to remain involved in the game while other members of the team access different areas. Some puzzles require team members to work between multiple areas at the same time, so teamwork is an important part of the experience.

The Magic Market is unfortunately too narrow to accommodate a wheelchair, while Tropical Trouble has uneven flooring that makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users.

If you have any questions about your team’s individual accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to talk you through what to expect.

How Physical Are Your Games?

Our games are primarily about puzzles and problem solving rather than physical challenges, but some movement around the rooms is required.

The Magic Market includes an area that requires players to crouch.

Tropical Trouble includes a low-access area, although an alternative route is available for players who are unable to crawl. Using this route means that two puzzles will be skipped.

You don’t need to be particularly fit or strong to play. If anyone in your team has limited mobility or specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking and we’ll be happy to explain what to expect without spoiling the game.
