Dive In & Discover The Underwater World
Did you know that approximately 71% of our planet is covered by water? The tranquil blue waters surrounding Playa Blanca are home to a great variety of colourful marine life including Atlantic stingrays & angel sharks. We highly recommend investing in a snorkel set and heading to the quieter beaches of the resort such as Papagayo beach or La Mulata beach for the best snorkelling in Playa Blanca.
If you’re game for a little more adventure, why not try your hand at scuba diving and fully emerge yourself in the underwater world? We highly recommend the following dive centres for outstanding diver safety:
The Dive College
Dawn Dive Academy
Manta Diving
Our very own founder Helena was a scuba diving instructor here in Lanzarote before going on to build Island Quest! Feel free to ask her for diving or snorkelling recommendations.

Aqualava Waterpark
If you’re looking to cool down a little with your younger family members, head go Playa Blanca’s main waterpark Aqualava! The park contains fun water slides (on the smaller side, so not necessarily for adults or teens), a lazy river & a splash zone. If you’re keen on a bargain, consider visiting in the late afternoon when entrance to the park is discounted!

Explore The Coast By Kayak
We are very fortunate here in Playa Blanca to have a stunning coast line to explore. To make the most of these views, why not join one of Playa Blanca’s kayaking tours and enjoy the spectacular Papagayo coastal scenery from the ocean!
There are various different kayaking experiences to choose from located in the Las Coloradas end of Playa Blanca (close to the Papagayo Beaches), such as Kayak Lanzarote and AO! Experience.
