Putt Your Way Through the Wild at Palm Safari Mini Golf!

Palm Safari Mini Golf is a themed mini golf course located in Marina Rubicon, outside to the CC Rubicon shopping centre. The course features lush palms, a safari setting, and a host of jungle animals, offering a fun experience for all ages!
Open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, admission is €9 for adults and €7.50 for children.

Ride the Waves – Surf Playa Blanca!

With warm waters year-round and several surf schools offering lessons and rentals, surfing is a great option for beginners and those looking for a more relaxed wave experience. While the town itself is known for its calm waters, nearby spots like Playa de Janubio and Papagayo can offer fun waves, especially for longboarders and learners. For more powerful breaks, experienced surfers often head north to places like Famara.

Soak Up The Sun

Playa Blanca hosts a variety of stunning beaches and gets sun most of the year around, so heading down to the beach is usually pretty high on peoples list of things to do! For those looking to sun themselves in comfort, head to Playa Dorada close to the town centre, where you’ll find rentable sun beds & parasols.
Have a car? We highly recommend a trip to the 6 stunning Papagayo beaches. Located at the eastern end of the resort, these beaches are unspoiled and offer a little slice of tropical paradise.

Test Your Balance Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) offers a fantastic way to explore the island’s stunning coastline, perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Glide over the waves, in a relaxing yet adventurous experience. Several local schools and rental shops provide lessons and equipment, making it easy to try this fun and accessible water sport!

Shop till you drop at the Marina Rubicon market

You’ll find the upmarket Marina Rubicon towards the eastern end of the resort, boasting a variety of wonderful shops and restaurants. Marina Rubicon also plays host to a fabulous market in the morning on Wednesday and Saturday featuring a variety of stalls with local trinkets and souvenirs.

Bowl a strike at Bowling Strike
On the 2nd floor of the Rubicon shopping centre, you’ll find Bowling Strike. A great choice for a cloudy day or to entertain the kids for an hour or 2!
Bowling Strike offers games 7 days a week from 16:00 – 00:00.

Rent a bike for a fun day in the fresh air.

Playa Blanca is a relatively flat resort, and a great way to get around and see everything is to rent a bike and head out exploring! You’ll find plenty of rental shops dotted around the resort to choose from. The closest rental shop to Island Quest HQ is the wonderful Bike Sensations, located on the lower floor of our very own C.C El Pueblo.

Set Sail

See Playa Blanca from a different angle with one of the numerous different boat trips on offer. Experience a party at sea as you hop on board the I Love Papagayo catamaran cruise, including paella, sangria & beer, all with a banging soundtrack to lift your spirits.
If you’re looking for a more chilled out, private cruise experience, Alex Sailing offer a private 11m charter yacht that can be rented by the hour for you and up to 6 friends.
Feeling adventurous? Why not rent your own boat (no license required) and cruise the coat at your own leisure with Rent a Boat Lanzarote!

Dive In & Discover The Underwater World

Did you know that approximately 71% of our planet is covered by water? The tranquil blue waters surrounding Playa Blanca are home to a great variety of colourful marine life including Atlantic stingrays & angel sharks. We highly recommend investing in a snorkel set and heading to the quieter beaches of the resort such as Papagayo beach or La Mulata beach for the best snorkelling in Playa Blanca.

If you’re game for a little more adventure, why not try your hand at scuba diving and fully emerge yourself in the underwater world? We highly recommend the following dive centres for outstanding diver safety:
The Dive College
Dawn Dive Academy
Manta Diving

Our very own founder Helena was a scuba diving instructor here in Lanzarote before going on to build Island Quest! Feel free to ask her for diving or snorkelling recommendations.

Aqualava Waterpark

If you’re looking to cool down a little with your younger family members, head go Playa Blanca’s main waterpark Aqualava! The park contains fun water slides (on the smaller side, so not necessarily for adults or teens), a lazy river & a splash zone. If you’re keen on a bargain, consider visiting in the late afternoon when entrance to the park is discounted!

Explore The Coast By Kayak

We are very fortunate here in Playa Blanca to have a stunning coast line to explore. To make the most of these views, why not join one of Playa Blanca’s kayaking tours and enjoy the spectacular Papagayo coastal scenery from the ocean!
There are various different kayaking experiences to choose from located in the Las Coloradas end of Playa Blanca (close to the Papagayo Beaches), such as Kayak Lanzarote and AO! Experience.
